A school teacher Vera Subbotina moves to Moscow and gets a job in a prestigious college. She meets her students and notices a bright and independent student Christina. Despite Christina's complex nature, Vera can manage to built a trust relationship with her. Soon Vera meets her parents. They turn out to be old acquaintances. All three are connected by a secret: 15 years ago Vera became a surrogate mother for the couple and gave birth to Christina.
